DMZ side event at the 14th National Maritime Conference. Focus: Securing a skilled workforce
On 29 April 2026, the German Maritime Centre hosted a high-profile side event in Emden on securing a skilled workforce in the maritime sector. At the event, which was held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, representatives from industry, academia, government and the social partners discussed staffing challenges as a key factor in maritime sovereignty.
Maritime Germany in Singapore – Singapore Maritime Week 2026
Following its successful debut at Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2025, the German Maritime Centre (DMZ) has significantly expanded its international presence for 2026: with a German joint booth twice the size of the previous one, the DMZ sent a clear signal of the strength and unity of the German maritime sector on the global stage.
