The German Maritime Centre is announcing the “Outstanding Academic Maritime Teaching” competition for the second time. Students can nominate lecturers and professors who deliver particularly good academic maritime teaching.
With the competition, we want to promote academic maritime teaching in Germany, increase the visibility of the subjects and support the exemplary commitment of teaching staff to teaching and students.
We call on students in academic maritime subjects to nominate the lecturers and professors who best succeed in linking practice with research and teaching.
We are looking for academic maritime teachers who display above-average commitment to their subject and their students. People who teach applicable basic knowledge, practical competencies and academic skills and optimally prepare their students for entering the workforce. The teachers to be nominated must regularly give a lecture or event on a maritime topic.
The nomination period began on 1 April 2022 and ended on 20 May 2022.
The award ceremony will take place during an evening event on 27 September 2022 at the 16th Bremen Shipping Conference (Bremer Schifffahrtskongress).
