The German Maritime Centre at SMM 2026

The German Maritime Centre will once again be represented at SMM, the world’s leading trade fair for the maritime industry. Find out more here.
10 June 2026

From 1 to 4 September 2026, the German Maritime Centre will once again be represented at the world’s leading trade fair for the maritime industry. Held every two years, SMM (Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology) brings together stakeholders from across the maritime industry, making it one of the most important platforms for international maritime dialogue.

SMM takes place at Hamburg Messe and is one of the largest maritime events worldwide. Alongside the exhibition, an extensive conference and stage programme forms the core of the event.

The DMZ will be present throughout the entire trade fair with a stand in Hall B6 (Stand B6.215). On site, you can look forward to opportunities for exchange, insights into current DMZ projects, and a varied programme with changing thematic focuses.

DMZ contributes to the stage programme

In addition to the stand, the DMZ is actively involved in SMM’s wide-ranging stage programme: panels, discussion rounds and other formats will take place at various locations across the exhibition grounds, covering topics such as attracting young talent, women professionals in the maritime industry, career prospects in the maritime sector, and more.

The full programme is being updated continuously – stay informed here.

Tickets and further information about the trade fair are available here.

New specialist conference: all about ports

Alongside SMM, the DMZ will also be represented at all about ports – a newly established specialist conference on the future of the port industry, taking place on 2 and 3 September 2026 at the CCH Congress Center Hamburg.
